Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?

Did you just receive your Galveston College letter in the mail today? I keep checking my status at Alvin but still number 2. I was hoping it would have moved by now lol
Well guys, I received my acceptance letter form Galveston College, but that is my back up plan I should be excited, but my heart is set on UTMB. I still should be very grateful that I got in somewhere, but I can't help feeling this way...... and I only have until the June 1st to decline or accept.....
Liz you're the one I met right before they whisked you away for your interview ...definitely take the GCC offer just in case....
Hey nellyb, I'm the one that went in the middle of work and had the scrubs on and very shy . I am, I'm not going to take my chances. I e-mailed someone at the SON and the replied is that they will be making their final decisions by the end of tomorrow's business day:eek: and if accepted we should be getting an e-mail and the correspondence will be mailed out over the weekend!!!:uhoh21: now I'm scared and nervous and anxious AND hopefully this time is IT!!! and they won't prolonged it any more!!!!

O wait it wasn't u lol but we're still in the same boat... AHHHHH!! I'm nervous too especially since it's finally coming! I'm off tomorrow as well so I'm going to have to force myself to stay away from the computer and checking it every 5 seconds!!!! I had that problem today:uhoh3: I wish you the best of luck though and to all of us. Waiting has really shown me just how much I really want this. I'm ready to get over this hump.

So you had to call them to tell them you no longer wanted your spot? Blah, they are out until Tuesday so I wouldn't know anything until then. This is going to be a long weekend!

Oh the reason I asked was because if someone wanted to decline today, then no one would be in the office to answer so they wouldn't get the messages until Tuesday. I check the website like every 10 minutes lol so I guess I should quit until Tuesday!
