Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Well... hopefully just one more week and the wait will be over!!!!! I can't handle the agony any much longer.....
It's crazy because at first I thought this time around was going to be easier but it's actually worst . It's different from waiting to just hear something and knowing this time it's make or break time
Me too!!! I thought if I got to the interview part, the verdict would come fast and easy.... now is worse because like you said.... either we are in or not..... But lets not lose our hope, as long as we don't get that awful letter in the mail, we are still in the game!!!!

I have not heard anything from the board yet so i do not know if I will be accepted or rejected. However, if you could send me the website of the appartment, I will take a look and will let you know. R u in the program yet or got accepted for the fall semester?
I am already in the program, but will be graduating with ya'll. I spread my course out so that I could work and go to school and the same time.
Well guys, I received my acceptance letter form Galveston College, but that is my back up plan I should be excited, but my heart is set on UTMB. I still should be very grateful that I got in somewhere, but I can't help feeling this way...... and I only have until the June 1st to decline or accept.....

The same thing happened to me - I got my acceptance to Alvin and the deadline to accept was before I had even gotten my interview with UTMB. I accepted Alvin - because it was foolish to let that spot go just to hold out hope on UTMB. Three days past the deadline, I received the call for an interview and three days after that, I got the acceptance and revoked my spot with Alvin
SURELY, you will have heard something from UTMB by June 1, but if not, I'd accept GCC and then take withdraw if you get into UTMB - I promise GCC has a waiting list and you won't be the first or last to resend your acceptance.

Congrats on Galveston and good luck on UTMB. I was waitlisted for Alvin at number 10 but now I am number 2 due to people dropping. Do not feel bad to accept and then turn around and decline later. They have a waiting list and you might just make someone's dream come true who is on that wait list. :)
