Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Soooo for people that have not heard anything, I just got off the phone with a lady at the school and she said by next week the wait should be over. We all know that they're doing interviews today and the board is meeting up and looking over all of the interviews one last time before making a final decision. That's all I got for now=) Oh! and grades from this semester(Spring 2011) WILL be taken into consideration, so take your time getting them in so I have a chance=) Good luck to everyone!
I know the feeling, last semester when I applied they actually did loose my application and If I hadn't stayed on top of it I would of never know. Supposedly my application was sent over in the middle of March per enrollment services but I still haven't heard anything (not sure if it's lost again ....
OH! and you can request your results before you leave=) any other q's?
Lol I don't think I do! I am really nervous/excited. I really appreciate everyone answering all of my questions. My son has Pre K graduation that night at 7pm, so not getting out until 5pm would have been cutting it close! Plus he broke his elbow last night so I need extra time to get him dressed.

I have not heard anything from the board yet so i do not know if I will be accepted or rejected. However, if you could send me the website of the appartment, I will take a look and will let you know. R u in the program yet or got accepted for the fall semester?
Well I had my interview today and it went very well! I was nervous at first as was expected but after the first question it was smooth sailing for me. Today was the last day for interviews as I'm sure everyone knows but surprisingly there were quite a few people who never showed...(not that I don't blame them due to the timing delay). There were several interviewees today though but for everyone who is playing the waiting game you will be put out of your misery pretty soon, possibly as early as Wednesday...so I was told. I do hope that that is indeed the case because I need to get the ball rolling on this whole living situation..... but that's a whole nother issue within itself.......
