Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
It would have been nice to have known that beforehand... I was under the impression we were the last group to have interviews. It kinda feels like a slap in the face almost, like we weren't good enough :smackingf
I also emailed today and they said they were still receiving applications from enrollment services and are hoping to have everything finalized by next week...Uugh!!
Hello everyone! I am a Spring 2012 applicant. I still need 5 classes that I am currently working on but will not have finished by the application deadline. My question is: Did anyone get accepted into the program, but you still need some classes in order to begin the program? Thanks for your help. Just want to see if I have a chance without having classes finished.
Yup, people have been accepted with courses in progress and still left to complete. Good luck!

hey guys I decided to join and wish my nursing friend told me about this sooner... I applied waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy back at the end of January and had pretty much given up all hope about ever hearing anything back from UTMB until two days ago.... 5/16............
So yes I'm a part of the last group from what I gather from this blog to have an interview on 5/23 .... I don't know why and I'm not going to question it. This will be my 2nd undergrad degree 1st in Public Health so I'm just hoping for positive results....CONGRATS to those who have been accepted.....Good luck to the rest of us!!!!
