Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
I got my rejection letter today... and it doesn't really matter because I've already accepted an admission from another program... but is it "weird" to ask why I was rejected? I have a 3.54 pre-req GPA and a 3.75 Science GPA. I made an 86 on the TEAS V, which was a 97th percentile nationally. I'd just like to know why I was not accepted. Do I contact the pre-admission advisor? Thank you! And CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who was accepted! :)
I got my rejection letter on the same day I got the interview email. They said it was sent out by mistake. I believe your case was one of their mistakes. You should ask to clear your mind out. That is an insult, isn't it.

SO I've read quite a few comments regarding when we will find out the results from Monday's interviews, May 9. This was actually one of my questions to my interviewer. She said "the committee will meet tomorrow [Tuesday] and you will get an email, or snail mail, or both by Monday. You may know as soon as Wednesday but you will know by Monday at the latest [May 16]."
Hope this helps yall a little bit!
