Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Well I haven't heard anything either if it makes anyone feel better :-( That could mean we all didn't get it but weren't not going to think that way.... ok HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!! :-) what reaaaalllyyy suxs about this situation is Monday is a holiday so sorry guys but we won't hear anything until Tuesday whether snailmail or email :'(
I had given up yesterday and finally got an email at 4:58. When i talked to them the other day they said that all applicants that were accepted would get an email and if you got rejected it would come in snail mail. They also said that all decisions would be made by Friday, but for yalls case I hope its not true. Hang in there!! I wouldnt give up just yet!
Also any suggestons on where to live? I've heard ferry road apartments, I also am looking at Carelton Courtyard does anyone know anything about this apartment complex?

What still gives me a little bit of hope is that I truly don't believe that all of us that have been posting did not get in.... I can see myself because they worry about my lifestyle been too hectic for nursing school, but everyone else that had a great interview like you Renae1382, I just find it hard to believe!!!! so you're right lets just keep praying and being optimistic!!!

I agree .... This is the way I see it.... This whole process has not been timely. Nothing has ever come or been done by the day or date that was said so until I officially get my NO then I'm not going to count myself out. Granted it's easier said than done but at the end of the day if I am rejected I know it's not something I did. Everything was in order....
I would tell you to be as patient as possible, but I know it's really hard to do that.
I know there are several different stories regarding what is happening with regards to the most recent selection committee and the accceptance letters. They all conflict with what I was told.

Yes, I did. My understanding is that they are doing things in batches and it's an incredibly slow^10 process. Very, very slow.
