Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
I would tell you to be as patient as possible, but I know it's really hard to do that.

Thanks for your support. However, after all this, I am afraid I can not go for a drink cos' I am getting too old to go anywhere or my neck too long of waiting. haha.
I had given up yesterday and finally got an email at 4:58. When i talked to them the other day they said that all applicants that were accepted would get an email and if you got rejected it would come in snail mail. They also said that all decisions would be made by Friday, but for yalls case I hope its not true. Hang in there!! I wouldnt give up just yet!
Also any suggestons on where to live? I've heard ferry road apartments, I also am looking at Carelton Courtyard does anyone know anything about this apartment complex?

I actually got my acceptance "letter" e-mail really on Friday. So just be patient they will tell you something soon!
I am also looking for a place to stay, I don't want to live alone because that is lonely, and I don't want somewhere expensive, where is everyone else living?

Well this definitely doesn't make me feel better ESP since I interviewed Monday too and didn't receive anything. Ahh well until Tuesday ....
Can someone tell me what smail is? how to access to it? Sounded like I got a rejection already cos' I got interview before them and they already recieved the acceptance email. I am not disappointed at myself, just angry at them and their way of doing things.

I'm with you!! I'm waiting for my rejection letter through regular postal mail aka snail mail... I just hope they hurry up and send them and not make it so horrible like the interview proccess and everything else. I like UTMB and I believe is a very good school and of course, it was my first choice, but the whole admission process is terrible!!!! don't make me wait a month just to let me know I'm not going to get in!!!!
I am still confused as to why they sent to some and not to others. is it that they are going in alphabetical order? cuz then it makes sense since my last name starts with an R. I am so anxious about it. I got into A&M corpus christi and decided UTMB is the school for me. So if i dont get in this time, I am waiting. I just know it! I only wish they would tell us!!!!

My last name starts with an 'R' too and I havent heard anything
