Utica University - FNP Online Program

Updated:   Published

Hi My Fellow Nurses,

My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!

There will be video and voice threads. The test are given through examsoft and are just timed not video monitored. All papers go through a plagiarism site like with the BSN program. Girl, I'm hanging in there. I wish all of you starting tomorrow good luck, You can do it.

Hi everyone, I am legit freaking out reading the directions on these posts.. like I know grad school is a lot of work and online is hard too just because but .. the fact that we have to do the webcam posts and all this is just like added work and it seems very challenging for an online course with the way it’s formatted

Yankeesgirl907, I understand where your coming from. It is challenging especially for an online program, because now you have to make time to do your video post in quiet area along with writing papers. Each video post have a different amount of time you have to speak for. You can do it, just stay positive.

Absolutely! Will keep you updated. My friend is in it now...she said it takes some getting used to, but once you’re in the groove of things it’s totally do-able! Best of luck

Hello, all

hoping all are well

I’m wondering how your semester is going with your classes, I’m supposed to start in May but I’m hesitant because of the now Pandemic we are fighting, my unit is now a covid-19 Positive unit and the stress is overwhelming. How are you coping between classes and work? Are the professors understanding?

Hi!

I may not be the best person to answer, since I am in upstate NY and the cases are not too crazy here... I also work outpatient and have not been “drafted” per say to the hospital setting, so I am not under much stress in that regard. The classes are still going and there is no talk of suspending them or stopping them, although there are a few students from NYC whom I know are much more stressed about it. I can’t speak for them, but they are still partaking in classes and doing well. But to be honest, it’s not our main concern at this time, and I foresee it becoming more of an issue if things worsen for us. Our professors are talking about it and have insisted “our success comes first” to the extent that is true, I’m not sure, but they seem to be thinking of us during this time. Hope this helps, and best of luck!
