Hi My Fellow Nurses,
My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!
Classes are going really well! Are you taking quality improvement first? Who is your instructor? We have enjoyed everything thus far but are learning they are VERY strict on apa and writing. I suggest buying the premium grammarly subscription and studying the 7th edition apa. There’s a big paper and presentation in quality improvement . Also, your second class (leadership) has live sessions (zoom meetings) that none of us knew about until we signed up. Best of luck!
Hello, I am taking quality first with ----------------------------- then leadership With ---------------------. I’m excited and nervous they said the courses open the Friday before they start so we can see what’s ahead. Looking forward to finding out what’s planned. How often are the zoom sessions and how?
Thanks
How exciting! I had ------------------- for quality. She was good. They are tough graders with writing, like I mentioned before. we all felt we learned a lot in this class. The textbook was actually pretty good also.
The zoom class in leadership is every other week (so four sessions) for two hours at a time. You have to ask when your time is, or you will see when you’re given access to the class. I would ask ahead of time in case you have to switch classes to accommodate the time. If you miss, you have to write a paper instead. Usually during the meetings you break out into separate group and answer some questions. It’s pretty informal, and wasn’t too bad actually.
Good Afternoon everyone and Happy Mother's day. I am part of the Utica College Online FNP program. I start my first class tomorrow. I wanted to know if anyone was having trouble logging in the Examplify. I never received an email with any log in information. I was wondering if any of you had this issue and figured out how to register or be emailed the log in info.
I just stated my FNP this May. I live in WNY, rural area near buffalo NY. I'm taking two classes at a time and plan to start clinical in Jan. 2021, I would love to find someone in classes that I'm taking just to chat with and talk about experience, a support system for each other. Let me know if anyone is interested. My email is [email protected]

Good luck!
The program is going good so far, it’s a lot of videos we have to do, I didn’t expect that and I’m just not used to always speaking in front of the camera, but it’s going well. They are strict on APA so get that down on everything always. I’m still working full time and I have small children and it’s very manageable.
good luck

Hi there.. so far it’s manageable, but it really depends on your stress level in your family life and work life. If you feel like you are overwhelmed already due to the COVID, don’t ruin your academic record trying to do too much at once. Professors are understanding to a degree but we still are responsible for handing in our assignments on time. There were no real passes given to us cause if COVID honestly
