Utica College Online ABSN

Nursing Students School Programs

So, I looked through the archives and I couldn't find any recent reviews of Utica College's Online ABSN program. The courses are online and the clinicals are held near campus. Does anyone on here have any feedback for this program? I am not looking for advice on online vs. brick and mortar--that is research I have done a ton of: on here, elsewhere, via personal experience, etc, etc... Anyone go through this program? ♥️

Okay so I don’t know who the person is giving you guys that information about Syracuse and it might actually be that way for them but the negative reviews are NOT from disgruntled students who are lazy and didn’t pass. It is because this program offers no support and does not care about the students who are a part of it. The first semester is all roses and strawberries as they cater to you as support you and then the second semester comes and it’s filled with nothing except misinformation and no guidance. We’ve lost 20 students in this program from our cohort and they did not blink an eye. Students who failed a class by 0.2 and nothing was done. These students were all hard working and all studied extremely hard so take it as you may but know that this program is not only tough ( as nursing school is expected to be) but there’s no help from the professors and each campus receives different information for the same tests. Use Utica as a last resort people.

Hello everyone... is anyone applying/attending the St. Pete location? I have accepted and will be starting there with the fall 2019 cohort. I know the reviews aren't great but I figure my work after school is more important and relevant for my career (as long as I pass the NCLEX first).

Anyway, because I know it's gonna be hard I am trying to organize early with my classmates... I know most of you are attending/considering NY but I thought I'd promote this here just in case. It's a facebook group to talk about housing, ask questions, organize study groups, share resources, anything.

Anyway, most of ya'll can probably ignore this... Best of luck to everyone, remember that no matter how much it sucks it is only 16 months!!

Hey guys, I am from nyc and got accepted to Utica Nursing in Syracuse! I will be looking for a roommate. And the bad reviews about this school has made me sick to my stomach. I had a low gpa and didn't get accepted anywhere else

@maryam1993 when are you starting in Syracuse? And like everyone has said, don't worry about the bad reviews. Stay positive. We can do this.

@sleepymonkey022 @IntendingRN Hey i start in fall 2019! Can one of you guys who are already in program explain how many people started and how many failed out. How much of the bad reviews are true. Please let us know what we should truly expect. I majored in bioscience also did emt, i have volunteered alot in the hospital im very used to the rigorous studying for science classes. So will i be okay?
