  1. has anyone for the PNP heard anything yet?? ?
  2. @maryam1993 @IntendingRN Yes stay positive! And there’s a Facebook group you can post in if you’re looking for roommates :)
  3. @lindsay313 so first semester clinical is only the last 6 weeks of the semester. It’s once a week and you’ll find out which day probably a few weeks into the semester. It shouldn’t be too hard to make those trips in the beginning but I think it would be tough once exams get started
  4. The professors do a weekly live session for the main classes. It’s basically a chat room where they will share their lecture slides and give their “lectures”. It benefits you a lot more if you do the readings before the sessions so you can actually follow along and answer their questions. But if you don’t attend, they always post them afterwards!
  5. I’m in the Syracuse program. And I definitely agree with @Futurenurse1096 - the people with bad experiences voice their opinion more. @IntendingRN There are multiple professors so it depends on who you get. But everybody tends to share their notes and study guides within the cohort so that helps. The best advice I can give you is just to stay on top of things- make sure you’re looking at each classes’ material every week. We had a habit of only focusing on whatever class we had the next test on but this makes it easy to fall behind. Just put in the work and you will do fine!
  6. Hi! I’m currently in the program. It’s definitely difficult but totally doable. I think you really need to have good study skills and time management skills to succeed. If you can dedicate 16 months of your life to studying then you’ll be fine! You do have to teach yourself sometimes so having some kind of background in healthcare is super helpful. Looks like you’re an EMT so that’ll definitely benefit you! I think a lot of people fall behind because they think they can slack off with online courses but you really have to keep up with the material if you want to do well. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask! I honestly think the bad reviews for the program are from people who didn’t put in the effort and are just upset that they couldn’t make it. I hope his helps!
  7. Pretty sure my voice was shaking during my video essay :/ not sure why as I was fine when practicing on my webcam 50 times!!
  8. Yeah I went to a few schools before coming to the school where I received my bachelor's. At one of the schools, my GPA was
  9. Hi all! I'm pretty new to the site but have been visiting it for help for quite some time now. I was hoping somebody could help calm my nerves a little or maybe offer some advice. I've seen similar questions asked but wanted to get my own specific problem out. I am currently in the process of applying to ABSN programs and am worried about my academic record from a few years ago. I transferred schools quite a few times and just recently graduated with my bachelors. My stats are as follows: graduating GPA: 3.4 prereq GPA: 3.6 last 60 credits: 3.5 cum GPA: 2.5 I'm reallllly worried that my cumulative will prevent me from getting in anywhere. Is it really that important? Do you think they could overlook it?
  10. Hi everyone! I also applied for the spring 2019 semester and am waiting to hear back! Those of you who were accepted- do you mind sharing your stats? Also, how many recommendations did you send in since they were optional??
