Utica College Online ABSN

Updated:   Published

So, I looked through the archives and I couldn't find any recent reviews of Utica College's Online ABSN program. The courses are online and the clinicals are held near campus. Does anyone on here have any feedback for this program? I am not looking for advice on online vs. brick and mortar--that is research I have done a ton of: on here, elsewhere, via personal experience, etc, etc... Anyone go through this program? ♥️

Awesome!! Do you have any idea of where you'll be living yet? I've been researching apartments around the school but not sure where most students live.

@Christine I am still looking, but mainly in Tampa because they have student housing and they come furnished.

Anyone that started the program this fall 2019 (syracuse) can give insights on how the program is going? Ive been provisionally accepted for may 2020 and all the reviews are scaring me!!

@schan006The reviews are worrisome but i know at least 2 people that graduated from the program. One thing that they've both told me is that, 'IT IS HARD'. They said it isn't worth it for the amount you pay but it's doable. Hence why i'm still hanging on.

Do you have to take any prerequisites?

@IntendingRN

yes, i have to retake chem 1, are you enrolled in the program now or will you be enrolling next year?

@schan006 i am starting May 2020 as well. I have to take Chemistry as well. I start that in January.

@IntendingRN Nice!! and i start mine in march....i know the program is a lot of money and the fact that lectures are online have me a little nervous. Although im sure that if we study and do the things we are supposed to, we’ll do well. do you know if there is orientation?

@schan006 my thoughts exactly. I am hoping it all works out. Yes i'm sure they'll be orientation. They'll probably let us know as it gets closer.

Are any of you currently attending the Syracuse program? I just got accepted for May 2020 start. I'll gladly take any advice or opinions you have about it! Thanks ?

@mmmc32

I just finished my first semester and it was a lot of work, but it was doable. I spent almost all my time doing school work and studying. I can only speak off my experience of first semester, but I have heard it gets much harder in the other semesters. So far I like the format of the program, and I don’t have any major complaints.
