I applied for the Fall 2008 Accelerated BSN program and am very excited to have an interview on April 10 - the letter just came in the mail today! Anyway, I wasn't able to find any recent threads for applicants applying for this year so wanted to see if there were any applicants out there.
I'm interested to hear from any current or former students in the program. Is this a good program? What are some of the pros and cons?
I currently live in Houston and prefer to stay if I am accepted to any of the 3 nursing schools here, but I would certainly not hesitate to relocate to SA for nursing school.

THANK you, dream2b!!!
Hopefully just a slower mails///
havn't receive both acceptance and denial letter yet~~~
Ooooo...
Good news to share with everyone that I just heard that my sister-in-law received a phone call from Baylor!!! She accepted in the Physicain Assistant Studies!!!! *^~~~~~~~~~~~^*
Therefore, half of me is really proud of her accomplishment, the other side.. worry about myself though....
I applied for the accellerated but didn't get in. 70 other people with bachelor's degrees applied this round, too and only 20 can be accepted. So I'm entering the generic track unless other's decline their spots or drop out before the first summer. We should all be really proud of ourselves. This was a fiercely competitive pool!
I applied to the generic and I'm finishing up my last 2 classes this semester. I will try to relax this summer! well maybe I'll try.... to hit the gym cause I know I won't be able to for the next 2 years.:pumpiron::wink2::onbch:
I know it will not be easy, but I called the school today and the first semester is only 13 hours and you are not required to take classes in the summer unless you want to take your upper division electives then so I don't think it's impossible to have a life outside of school. I took 19 hours this semester and I took 2 enterance exams and found myself with extra time and I never really studied on the weekends. I'm looking forward to seeing what it's really like.

I got my letter of acceptance as well and just got back from celebrating! It just felt so good to see that all the studying and sleepless nights and homework and notes during the past two years have paid off. Congratulations to everyone and I can't wait to meet all my new classmates :loveya:!!!
