I applied for the Fall 2008 Accelerated BSN program and am very excited to have an interview on April 10 - the letter just came in the mail today! Anyway, I wasn't able to find any recent threads for applicants applying for this year so wanted to see if there were any applicants out there.
I'm interested to hear from any current or former students in the program. Is this a good program? What are some of the pros and cons?
I currently live in Houston and prefer to stay if I am accepted to any of the 3 nursing schools here, but I would certainly not hesitate to relocate to SA for nursing school.

actually when I asked them what those meant they said the program average is all the people who had taken the tests before entering ANY BSN program, not UTHSCSA program, and NOT the average of who they let in....however she was very sketchy about what the average was of those that they actually let in.
No, the average is for the people who have taken the test for that round of UTHSCSA SON applications. I asked the dean of the program and she's the one who told me that. The national average is for the population applying to all BSN programs.
I called, too. They "should be sent out this evening". Soooo hopefully we will get the letters tomorrow. Battle of the Flowers does not stop the mail nor is it an optional holiday for UTHSCSA employees this year. Good luck all!!!!
Even if they do go out tomorrow, Friday won't count because there's no mail due to Battle of Flowers so that delays everything by one more day.
Don't worry yourself so much! Mail is still delivered on Battle of the Flowers parade day. It's not a national thing. I really believe we will hear by Sat.
Ladies I just finished reading the the chat you guys were having today I am glad that I am not the only one who has totally lost it . I had my husband go to the school today and see if they had a list. I was told on the phone that they did but when he went they said they did not:argue: so i will be camped out at the mail box
=-o!!! They told you they had a list??? Maybe they did but didn't want to release any info to your husband because it wasn't YOU? Oh well, there's no point in freaking out about it now. We'll know soon :-D
Nothing in my mailbox today so I gave them a call. Letters just went out this afternoon, there is no way to know until your letter has been received (there is no list at the registrar's office) and both acceptance and rejections went out together. *sigh*.... I am going crazy!
