  1. I am a graduate from Texas Career's and 21,000 dollars is ridiculous, but isn't the cost for everything. Just think of the money as an investment on your future with the potential for a lots of return. The school is just like any thing else in life there are good ones and bad ones you get out of it what you put into it. All you want from the schoool is your LVN and that what you will get if you do your best. Now there is a high turn over rate with the instructors , but that not your concern just go get your LVN and move on thats what I did.
  2. hey, guys just venting, i have been in dialysis for 3 years started as a tech I'm currently a lvn, and just got accepted into the bsn program:yeah:. I am have a very hard time with my co-workers:no:. I am very strong mind. I let people no how I feel, but I am cautious, and I do not think that sits well with most people . My co-worker I don't know I feel like they have a target on my back . There is something else they do not judge on work performance or how you treat the pt. they judge on how you Shi***** I dont know what they judge on. I try no to care but there is always something going on people complaining and it is soooooooo draining. What do I do? How do I stick with it? Dialysis has allowed me to continue my education and I am not quite finish yet, but I am tired of all the fighting and back stabbing. I just want to work in peace. Is this just at my location? My boss is a lune.
  3. Do not worry dialysis is not boring. 4 to 1 sounds great but it is not as easy as it sounds, poor staffing get ready, bad co-workers you bet. If you like to do the same thing day in and day out get ready. If you like reverse deligation get ready. I must sound horrible. I am a lvn I use to be a tech and I am currently in rn school. You use to be in charge LVN have no place in dialysis RN are in charge techs run the floor and we are some were in the middle get ready for a roller coaster ride. I've been for 3 year and I am ready to go. It pays well and you only work 4 days but after the headache you need the ddays off. Dialysis is very fast pace I mean very

  14. I know that this posting is late, but I have been in dialysis for 3 years and I started out as a tech and you guys are right once I became a nurse I was no long one of the girls. All my decision are always being question and I am unable to play the role as a nurse because the tech look at you as just a high paid tech. There is a constant battle to prove ones self. I can never said the right thing in their eyes. I the best thing for me is to keep quite do my job and let those who are in charge delegate. I have worked for both FMC and now Davita and it the same because the people move from on company to the other.
  15. I work for the same company and I too live in hell I am 3 yrs in and don't think i can stand one more year, but it's great for school
