I applied for the Fall 2008 Accelerated BSN program and am very excited to have an interview on April 10 - the letter just came in the mail today! Anyway, I wasn't able to find any recent threads for applicants applying for this year so wanted to see if there were any applicants out there.
I'm interested to hear from any current or former students in the program. Is this a good program? What are some of the pros and cons?
I currently live in Houston and prefer to stay if I am accepted to any of the 3 nursing schools here, but I would certainly not hesitate to relocate to SA for nursing school.

I have to say that I am so glad you guys know what I am going through. I read your posts and can totally relate to everything said. My husband thinks I am going insane (well, I guess I am) because I am stalking the mailman. I keep checking with the other applicants at school and on this board to see if anyone has gotten a letter yet. Isn't it the most horrible feeling! I can't take it anymore!!! My interview was on March 19, so I have been waiting over a month with no word!! Ugh.....

I know I sort of wish I could call and find out, just so I can know whether or not to even think of it the rest of today and tomorrow...but I have already called 2X they are probably gonna put a trace on my line....yesterday was a really bad day for me, I think I am emotionally worn out waiting like this...if I had not bombed the math section I would be much calmer right now....I wish I had not freaked out like that I am a straight A math student and couldn't keep it together for a basic math test....
I feel better today....but I wish I knew if they were sending them out or not.....:bowingpur
LOL like I said earlier, I'm pretty sure they recognize my phone number! But I'm going to call them anyway. I'll do it somewhere around midday where they can tell me for sure if they did mail them out today or not.

I couldn't resist (HAHA!) and I just called and I was told that letters are bring sent out TODAY!!!!!

I've heard from several people that acceptance letters are sent out first and rejection letters weren't being sent out until May, but I just asked and I was told that acceptance and rejections letters are being sent out together TODAY, so those rumors about them being sent out at separate times are not true...unless the woman I spoke to gave me the wrong information.
Oh my gosh, that makes me even more nervous! They sent an email back in March that said rejection letters would be in May, but maybe since May is already next week they are doing it all together. I am going to be terrified to open the envelope! haha Best of luck to you guys! Hopefully we will all be extremely happy in the next couple of days!
I wonder (me being miss pessimist) if they mean today like this morning or today at night...like before or after mr. mailman comes....??????
I think I just smiled for real....of course now I feel like crying....my husband said that before this is over I am going to be admitted to a mental facility....and I will have to turn them down.funny man.:monkeydance:
A friend of mine was accepted into the OT program back in March, and she got her letter on Saturday. She lives in Stockdale, so she is out of town. I imagine they will be mailed out today. They have to be tired of us all calling!
