I applied for the Fall 2008 Accelerated BSN program and am very excited to have an interview on April 10 - the letter just came in the mail today! Anyway, I wasn't able to find any recent threads for applicants applying for this year so wanted to see if there were any applicants out there.
I'm interested to hear from any current or former students in the program. Is this a good program? What are some of the pros and cons?
I currently live in Houston and prefer to stay if I am accepted to any of the 3 nursing schools here, but I would certainly not hesitate to relocate to SA for nursing school.
So now that it's all over, how did everyone do? I got an 87 on the test and I feel like the interview was good. However, I really sucked on the science part. I only scored in the 53 program percentile. I can't wait to know if I got in! Were you surprised at how many people from Houston were there?
SO I did not to well. I am really bummed, every practice test I took I scored very well at least high 80's. I focused so much on the science while studying, I really should have been focusing on my speed in the math. I can do math but I am not quick, and thus my downfall. I did well in everything else. I scored really well in science and reading, well above the national average. Unfortunatley I had a panic attack during the math, and did terrible. That pulled my average total to a 75.
I am so sad. I have a very high GPA, my interview went very well. The person who was intervieewing me said she would be looking for mein the future. I don't know if she knew my score or not, or if she was just being polite. BUT I fully expected to score highly.
I talked to a few nursing students that day that said their GPA was like or below mine and they scored like or below me and they were in, but every semester is different....I am pretty bummed. It is going to be a loong 2 weeks. I am going to have to find a project to keep me busy....
are you at Southwest General?[/quoteHi I just recently had my interview at UTHSCSA has any one received and acceptance letter yet I am so worried I will not get on My interview was March 17 and my GPA is 3.6, but I only made 73.4% on the TEAS testing. I would really like to know the average scores. Is there anyone out there that has applied for Fall 2008 lvn ro rn program
My interview was April 2nd (almost 3 weeks ago). I still haven't heard ANYTHING. It's been 10 days since they finished interviews, but really only 6 business days since weekends surely don't count. This is really driving me nuts!!! I called when interviews were over and they said they would let us know "in a couple of weeks"...AAAAH! I know that the Fall 2007 class found out around the 17th of this month. So we can't be too far away!!! I'd rather know NOW, but we don't have much of a choice but to wait
