UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Hi guys I'm also applying for the Fall of 2015! Not sure if I have a chance but I'm still giving it a shot! Just took my TEAS V today. I'll get my results on Monday (fingers crossed) I hope that I did well, I studied my butt off! :) As soon as my scores are uploaded I will submit my applications to UTHSCSA and UIW.

So I'm trying to get a parent letter for my military benefits to reimburse me. I just got an email that it couldn't process because my nursing cas isn't complete! Say whaaaat? This is because its still verifying right? That's the only thing I can think of.

Hmm, I'm not sure, but that would make sense if that's the reason. I went out to the school and asked them my question, but they said that it's something that I'd have to contact NursingCAS themselves about, which I guess I'll see about doing this next week. I got an email from NursingCAS the other day saying that their call volume for customer service is sky high right now, which doesn't help.

I called Nursing CAS twice today and got through immediately. Super helpful people. I also called the school, and yes, the verification process is what is holding up the process but the registrar said they check it everyday ​for me so they can start working on it when it finishes. Made me feel special. ;)

Oh, nice! Ok then, I may just call them tomorrow and see if I get the same help! :D lol

EDIT: Nevermind, NursingCAS isn't opened tomorrow, haha. And you meant the school will be checking everyday or NursingCAS?

Hey guys just got my teas v scores today and I scored a 84.7% I hope this is good enough :)

Hello everyone sorry I have been MIA for the past couple of weeks. I was studying for the TEAS test; I took it this past weekend at got a score of 80.6, which I am pretty pleased with. I'm also going to submit my NursingCas application today since I see that it takes awhile for them to verify everything. Then after that I guess it's just a waiting game. I do hope that we receive the supplement applications before late March, if not that just means a longer time before acceptance letters are sent out. Which means just more waiting and more nerves.

Where do you check if your transcripts have been verified or complete? I just paid and submitted my applications.

On the main NursingCas page; where it says Manage My Programs, under ready to submit and have upcoming deadlines. On the Manage My Programs page click on Program Status and there it will say if your transcripts have been verified.

Pretty much this. Look for a little blue circle with a white "i" in it. Hover over it or click on it and it'll pop up a little box that lists all of your college's transcripts, whether they've arrived (the check circle will turn green if they have), and then there's the verify icon next to it. It shows that mine have arrived, but the verification check circle is still grayed out. I was going to call them tomorrow, but I got an alert from them a little while ago saying that they're closed tomorrow due to a winter storm (move down to Texas, that term isn't in our vocabulary! :D ), so they'll re-open on Wednesday...although, it says that they will answer emails still, so I may do that instead.

Hi guys!

So I'm applying for Fall 2015 as well, and I've been having so many issues with NursingCAS.

Did anyone submit transcripts the week of the 13th? That's when I had mine sent out but NursingCAS has apparently not received them yet and I am FREAKING out. I feel like they should be there and processed already but I don't really know if I sent everything in "late" or not? Every time I try to contact NursingCAS it's like talking to a brick wall. :cry:

Hello, noimnotamermaid!

Well my school sent out my transcripts on January 6th and I received an email from NursingCAS on January 23rd that they had received my transcripts. So it did take awhile, but you should hear from them this week about it. I would say call them but I don't think that they are taking calls today, because of that storm.

Is everyone's application still being verified?
