Hey guys!
So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!
Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!
I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!
Your GPA totally makes up for the teas test no worries AT ALL there. I can relate to the test anxiety for sure!! I'm surprised about supplemental apps being sent out next week as last year they did get sent out until march 28th! Maybe there hasn't been that many people applying to the school?
Hey, domcamacho, welcome to the thread! Yea, you have a pretty sweet GPA, so I probably wouldn't sweat about the TEAS score.
That's actually pretty surprising, cool, and yet scary that supplemental applications are suppose to be starting next week. I want to say that, last year, they did them in alphabetical order of your last name...?
By the way, are we suppose to be getting an email from the school saying that they got our TEAS scores and NursingCAS application? Or is it just assumed once we get the supplemental application?
I received an email from Brandy saying they received my application. Anyone also misding TEAS test scores was sent something as well. I did, so thats how I know. I then sent her my results from Teas test. Does anyone know of the lowest Teas score from an accepted applicant? Any friends get in with a not-so-good score? Im just alittle worried....

welcome to the thread MAsher3!
Dang, I can't believe you got an email already. I was expecting to start hearing back from admissions the first week of Feb.
From my stalking of past cycles (lol) it seems that the lowest score that gets accepted is a 69.5 on the TEAS. But it also varies by cycle and how competitive everyone is.
I just spoke to Irene at the SoN, I asked if I should look for an email confirming that they received my application and TEAS V scores and she said no; Next week the supplemental applications are sent out to everyone. I asked if they go out alphabetically and she said no, they go out in bulk to all applicants. She did advise to look in junk/spam folders for their email because sometimes they are in there. According to Irene, once we submit the supplemental application we will not hear anything back for 1 - 2 MONTHS! That time is going to go by soooo slow!!!
She also connected me to the student health center regarding immunizations. I only need my Hep B series and I thought it might be easiest if I get them done there. Well, they do not take Humana and the Hep B is $131/injection.. I'll just get it done at the doctor's office. Their number is 210-567-9355 if anyone else needs to contact the health center for any reason.

So I guess they are doing things differently this cycle! I know they used to go alphabetically, but I guess they are trying to speed things up so that accepted applicants get all of their required stuff (CPR, immunizations, background check) all done on time.
We just have to stay busy guys! It will go by fast (hopefully)

Hello!!
I was excited to find this thread. I am also applying for the fall semester. I submitted my application via Nursing CAS Jan 9, 2015 and my TEAS V scores have been sent to UTHSCSA.
I called the SoN to find out when to expect the supplemental applications and I was told they will start going out next week. When I spoke to the lady at the school yesterday, she told me to start the Hep B series ASAP. I work at an Internal Medicine office, so I had the titers done yesterday after I spoke to her.
I am so anxious about this application. This is the only school I applied to. I didn't do as well on the TEAS V as I anticipated. I scored much higher on the practice tests. I ended up with an adjusted individual score of 78.7% it says 87th percentile for the program, so I hope that is good enough. I think I just had major test anxiety. I was a nervous wreck the night before I took the exam. I could not sleep (I only had 2 hours of sleep), I thought I was going to throw up... It was AWFUL. I just took it on Monday morning. I have a 4.0 GPA so I hope that makes up for my mess up on the TEAS V.
Good luck to everyone!!
