UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

What will YOU be doing to pass the time and stay occupied? I'll go first.

My birthday on the 5th, my son is turning 2 on the 18th, valentine's day of course, and my 4th wedding anniversary on the 22nd!

I also just started watching parenthood from the beginning. I'm on the 10th episode out of 90. I also just started orange is the new black as well!

Ethics Class!

Lactation Consultant class.

While I'm not parenting and doing mom duties those are the things that should occupy my mind!

I will be working as much overtime here at work that I can! At least 4 shifts a week.

My threee kids always keep me busy when I am not working.. I have a 10 yr old girl, and a 9 year boy and 5 year old boy.

American horror story just finished:( so now I have to find a new show to watch..

I have my Pitbull/Enrique Iglesias concert in Austin next saturday.

Then of course Valentines Day with my hubby.

We have season passes to Fiesta Texas and to the new Aquarium they opened here, so I'll be taking my kids there pretty often.

Finally, I will be just hoping and praying that the 3 schools I applied to, that I will get into at least one of them.

My names Monica and I'm 21, married, and I have a 3 year old daughter who keeps me plenty busy. I am registered for sociology and trying to get registered for ethics!! If not I've already checked with Phoenix University and can take the course with them. I will be focusing on helping my husband open a business and we are currently looking into buying our first home. I am focusing on my daughters birthday its on March 18 (hopefully we hear an answer sometime that week!!) Other than that I've decided to go back to the gym and try running at least 3 miles, 5 days out of the week until I get an answer haha.

Hanging out with my boyfriend and my best friend

Going to the gym (I just recently got a membership :) )

Looking up new recipe ideas on pinterest

Helping out with my old nursing club at school, I was president last semester and the new prez asks for advice a lot so that should keep me busy as well.

Getting onto this thread with you guys

And taking care of my pit bull

Guys is it just me or does our thread seem to be short of people compared to previous threads? I feel like there were more people involved previous cycles. Or maybe it's early on?

but more people may start filing on here once we start hearing back from admissions!

Thanks everyone for the support. I called my schools and I know one sent them out last week so I think that due to late send out, plus the storm delaying everything since NursingCAS is in Massachusetts, I'm just not going to have everything in on time in this cycle.

Good luck you guys! I'll probably be checking this thread often so I can come see everyone make it in. :)

I am in the same boat as you are. I called NursingCAS last week and they said they were like 3 days behind of processing transcripts. It doesn't help that they are closed today as well.

I talked to someone from UTHSCSA in admissions and they are aware of the weather conditions in Massachusetts. Hopefully we'll both receive and email this week that they were processed.
