UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

What I understood was that just as long as the transcripts are postmarked February 1st then the application is considered complete? I hope all gets in on time for you all!! My transcripts are still being verified, I wanted to call and ask how long that takes but yes they're closed again today.

Ok, so here is a little get to know ya game to pass the time.

What will YOU be doing to pass the time and stay occupied? I'll go first.

Raising day old Barred Rock Chicks.

My birthday on the 5th, my son is turning 2 on the 18th, valentine's day of course, and my 4th wedding anniversary on the 22nd!

I also just started watching parenthood from the beginning. I'm on the 10th episode out of 90. I also just started orange is the new black as well!

Ethics Class!

Lactation Consultant class.

While I'm not parenting and doing mom duties those are the things that should occupy my mind!

Aside from the 3 classes I'm doing this semester and doing this new job, there's not a whole lot going on with me. One thing I'm trying to do is to memorize as much Spanish as I can (using Duolingo to help with my class), so I'm more versatile with who I can talk to. That and getting used to waking up at 4:45 AM for school/work; I don't like sitting in traffic so that's the best time I can get up to avoid it, plus it'll help when nursing school comes around.

Because I'm expecting this semester to be somewhat "laid back" compared to past semesters, I'm also trying to read some of the books I've bought over time, study some others, write, etc. I'm also going to see about doing a little bit of exercise as well (just walking, mainly). I'd like to have all of Star Trek: TNG watched before the semester ends, but I suddenly don't have too much time to be watching it, so we'll see how that goes.

And I don't recall there being any mention of an extension for the deadline during this application cycle, so I'm not sure what'll happen.

Hi guys!

I submitted my application on January 2nd. My GPA is around 3.8, as is my math and science GPA. I scored a 96% on the TEAS. I have ethics, sociology, and history 2 left to take. I am getting a little nervous, as I submitted my app a

month ago and have heard nothing back. Not sure if they waited until the deadline to start reviewing apps, but I just want to know they at least received my application!

Yea you completely blew your stuff out of the water, haha!

So you never got an email saying if they received your transcripts or if they sent your application to the school? Maybe check your spam and trash boxes in your email? And try calling then too; I understand they were closed due to bad weather on a few occasions.
