Hey guys!
So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!
Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!
I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!
Thanks! Yea, I had gone over to the school last week and asked the lady at the desk, and she told me that when you register, there's an option to have your scores sent to your choice of schools. When I went to do so, I saw the UTHSCSA listed there. I think you can still send them if you didn't before, but I'm not sure if it'll cost extra or not.
Hi everybody, I have a NursingCas-related question. I am a fourth semester student at UTHSCSA and I am currently applying to the FNP program. I know this is not the right thread, but we are all using the same application through NursingCas and with the same deadline i believe(and i cannot find a thread for the fnp program) so maybe somebody will be able to answer my question. Does your application say VERIFIED or DELIVERED??? Mine has been stuck at "verified" for a month! Is it normal?? I paid and submitted everything on December 11! Tried to write to NursingCas and no response
I just got an email from NursingCAS saying they got my last transcript(s), so I'll be going over everything one last time tonight/tomorrow, then submit it in the next day or two. I just hope it doesn't kick back with an error or something; that would be a drag.
Yes, ratlady, I believe that, at this point, it becomes a waiting game for a supplemental application which, judging from last year's applicants, didn't arrive until sometime in mid-late March, and then the conditional acceptance letters apparently didn't show up until April. When I spoke with one of the admissions people at the school, they said that when you submit your application, all of your contact info that you entered (phone, email, etc.) will be sent along with it, and that's how UTHSCSA will get in touch with you/us.
And yea, I kind of hope that the "lack of activity" is a sign that not too many applied; it gives us a better chance of getting in!
well I retook the test and went from a 63% to a 70%Good luck on your test. I think you will do fine. I had to take my TEAS twice too since the first time I took it I got a 69.3 and knew that wasn't competitive enough. So I retook it in November and got a 77.3I think its just about getting used to the testing strategy.
Keep us updated!

Congrats! That is a great score! I was unsure if I was supposed to send the scores to Nursing Cas or the SON.
