UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Did you use the ati manual?
Yes I did, that plus the 5 Practice Teas Test book... I did well on my practice test in the book, the online practice test I scored an 70 & 85 on the first one, then a 68 and a 74 on the second one... I do have a bit of test anxiety, but when I was taking the test their was things on the test that I didn't study on..

Yea, I distinctly recall one question on the exam that wasn't in the ATI study manual...though, it was a pretty easy question (even though I had 2 minutes left in the section to hurry up and do it).

I just submitted my NursingCAS application, so now comes the waiting...

Marcelas, I would keep your head up! It seems that everyone who gets in the 70's and higher, gets in.

They made an update on the website saying you need a minimum of 68 to apply. Don't quote me on the number

I believe its a minimum of a 65 but that rule doesn't apply until 2016!

How long did it take nursing cas to generate a GPA for you?

Mine is still verifying.

I just went and read the entire uthscsa 2014 fall thread and they got their supplemental apps on March 28th and were accepted by April 14th. Looks like we have a loooooong wait.

I'm debating sending them an e-mail asking if they will count my microbiology class since it is worded as microbiology/parasitology for 12 credits. I think I'm scared I will annoy them if I ask them, or draw unnecessary speculation on the validity of it. I think ignorance is bliss at this point and I'll just wait. :notworthy:

I paid for my application on December 24th, and it got verified on January 8th! So it took a little over 2 weeks. And ugh Im hoping there isn't a delay like that for our cycle! Hopefully we hear about acceptance by mid March. And I would ask! the staff is super nice and understanding :)

Mine's been sitting on "Verifying" since I submitted it too. But it lists that all my transcripts have "arrived". I'm going to see about going out there tomorrow and ask if, should our application kick back with an error, that will affect our getting it in before the deadline. Like I said before, the lady said that so long as you submit it before the deadline, you're good, but I hadn't considered the possibility of it coming back with a discrepancy. This is nerve-wracking...deadline is almost here and I'm now unsure of my application. :/

I submitted and paid for mine at the same time, on the 17th of this month.

So I'm trying to get a parent letter for my military benefits to reimburse me. I just got an email that it couldn't process because my nursing cas isn't complete! Say whaaaat? This is because its still verifying right? That's the only thing I can think of.
