UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Published

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Specializes in ICU.

It's great that previous applicants that made it in are coming back to comment. Thanks you guys! :)

March starts tomorrow! We're almost there! 🙌

yes! Im so excited :)

Hopefully they don't wait until March 31st to tell us about acceptance haha

Ok so here's a question mainly for last year's applicants, but maybe someone currently applying might know as well. How does UTHSCSA view honors things like Dean's List, honor societies, etc.? I got an email from SAC last week with an invitation to join Phi Theta Kappa, but it's $100 to join, and apparently it's a 2-year, community college honor society. I was looking around and got sort of mixed answers as to whether it's worth it or not.

I've already applied to UTHSCSA, so I don't know if/how being in PTK would benefit at this point.

Herrington, good question. I got an invitation last Spring and went ahead and joined. I wonder if it helps in anyway?

stephfutureRN06, I hope they don't wait that long either. I have my fingers crossed for next week.

Specializes in NICU, Newborn Nursery, Pediatrics.

Hey all!

I'm kind of random here but just wanted to drop by and say good luck to all applicants. I graduated from UTHSCSA School of Nursing in Dec. 2012 (seems like a lifetime ago) and recently applied to the graduate program at UTHSCSA. I just want to say that y'all have chosen an amazing program for your nursing education. I absolutely loved nursing school and UTHSCSA so much I decided to go back! The graduate programs are somewhat in the same process as you all, just a waiting game now. Anywho! The best of luck to you all in your admissions process.

Jas.

Sooo has anyone heard anything?

Nothing here. ..just occasional emails from NursingCAS about other programs :p

I was on the wait list for the accelerated program. Waa anyone else on that list too?

Nothing on this end :(

Executive decision. None if us heard a "no" today. Therefore, March 2nd goes in the "Winninng" column. Goodnight my future classmates, may your dreams be filled with mid shift direct admmits and devoid of codes. :)
