Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
The best you can do right now is breathe and hope for the best stressing out won't be good for you ok I'll pray for you :) I searched it up and it said minimum of four months so I think that should be enough time right? You should file asap for sure
Hey everyone, I've been following this thread and I was anxiously looking for when everyone else received their emails and I just got mine saying I would receive the supplemental application tomorrow so for anyone else still waiting my last name is "Th"!
Congrats, harrysmuse! I am so worried and I am even more worried now that I got the email. I have to file a declaratory order for mistakes I made as a kid and now I'm afraid I won't get my clearance in time, I can't even be happy about the email.

Does that mean UTH already did background checks on us?
Thanks guys. No they have not, that comes later. I did already start the process with UIW though. You are supposed to do one if you answer yes to any of the questions about criminal history, mental illness, etc. Since I was a minor I was not sure if I needed to file one, I was told to wait until my background check showed the need, but it states it's better to be honest and get it out of the way. I just wish I would have done it sooner.
That sounds awful...however, I know UTH has a good reputation for working with students. Don't let this put a damper on your spirits. Instead, let it be your motivating force... You got this!

Thanks mel9655 hopefully everything works out in time for u thats unfortunate that has to be done how long does it take for clearance usually
