Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
Hi everyone. I've been creeping on this feed for about a month now and finally got around to making an account because I also received the email last night! Now I'm about to ask you all something and I ask tun to reply with complete honesty! If you were to have to choose between UTHSCSA nursing program and UTMB's program (keep in mind it's A 15 month program) which would you choose? Oh and I have a third option... The university I am currently at (Texas Lutheran University, a small private liberal arts school) is starting a BRAND new BSN program this fall (traditional 2 year program).... I don't know which route to take if all prove to be open to me!
friendswood, when I got my email yesterday I blasted something out on FB about it and one of my friends who is also applying immediately sent me a text freaking out because she hadn't received an email yet. Mean maybe, but I let her panic for about 45 minutes then sent her a reply letting her know that they are sending them out alphabetically, her name also starts with W lol..
Last night I basically had a heart attack when I got an email saying i was ineligble because they hadn't received my TEAS test but the problem was it was under my maiden name which I stated in my application. Had to call ATI and email UTHSCSA immediately and give them the info before 3pm today. Thank The Lord it got all straightened out last night and I got the email about getting the supplemental application tomorrow!! At first I was crying because of the horror and now I'm so stoked! Good luck to the rest of you.
I just want that email so bad I can't wait much longer but I have a feeling I will get it tonight since they are picking up their pace let me know when they hit the R's
Congrats, harrysmuse! I am so worried and I am even more worried now that I got the email. I have to file a declaratory order for mistakes I made as a kid and now I'm afraid I won't get my clearance in time, I can't even be happy about the email.
