Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
Im thinking we would be hearing from about our application status before the twenty seventh as in the email of that will say when we will recieve our supplemental app like tx2stepper recieved.. i think

Hi everybody! I have been following this forum for a while now :) I just got the same email saying that I will receive the supplemental application on the 28th via email. My last name starts with a C for anyone wondering!
Hey guys! I've been following this thread as well and I'm letter C in the alphabet and received the email about them sending the supplemental on the 28th. But not to worry anyone, my friend applied to the same BSN program over 1 and a half ago and she received the supplemental filled it out and then was not admitted to the program. She doesn't recall as to why but now I'm worried To go that far just to be denied!! But she is now in the program and started last fall. So does anyone else know of someone else this happened to?

That scares the crap out of me...ugh...But why I don't want to get too excited yet...
Possible reason back for that was there was a point when UTHSCSA used to send the supplemental application and have send an invite for the TEAS at that point. I'm not sure when they changed it to taking the TEAS before the application date...that may have been what happened to your friend?
Another telling fact is that for the last few semesters they've had to extend the admission date and didn't have to do that this time...Must have had a good pool of applicants this go round. Let's just all keep our heads up, fingers crossed and know that we have each other to commiserate with as we go through the next few weeks!!
I'm probaly not getting that email that I will recieve the supple till like tuesday or wed bc my last name starts with an S . The waiting period feels like I gone from this
Tx2stepper, No she took the TEAS before hand. She just can't recall why she was rejected. It's nerve wrecking but I will pray for us all to get in! I thought the same if you got a supplemental then you were in but apparently not in all cases and the first time she applied they extended the dead line as well and the second time too. But let's keep positive we got this! :)
