Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
I'm guessing that we will just get an email that says conditional acceptance and to be on the lookout for the supplemental application. In past threads it seemed the supplemental apps came later. I might go back and look but I'm supposed to be working on an assignment lol. I'll see if I can find something when I get a chance.
Maybe you are right. Guess we'll find out on Thursday! But why would they send supplemental apps to someone who didn't qualify? Uuugghh! This is too funny how I'm getting so worked up!
OK I looked quickly at earlier threads and they did get the supplemental application first then the conditional offers it looks like. OK.... come on Thursday.
Yes, supplemental and then conditional I think. I am pretty sure I will have to pay something to hold my seat, but there is no mention of it in the letter. I think I have no choice but to hold my spot at UIW. I am planning on waiting towards the end of this week though, in hopes I hear something sooner. UIW is still a really great BSN program, it's just the extra cost that scares me and the extra semester. I am happy to know I made it though. Good luck to us all!
mirasmom, no worries. I think we all get worked up over all of this lol. I think, don't hold me to this, there is a $500.00 seat deposit fee once we get our conditional offer from UTHSC.
I don't remember it being that high (the seat fee) Once you complete your supplemental application, they will review them and then send out their offers! This took a few weeks. Yay! It's getting closer! :))
UTHSC seat fee is $250 I believe. I looked on their website out of curiosity. It says this will be applied to the tuition bill. Not sure what UIW would be but maybe about the same.
I just saw your thread, and i'm glad that I am not the only one about to loose my mind. Waiting for this Supplemental is nerve racking. I received that same email this morning, that stated that the applications will be sent out by the 27th. I will keep ya'll posted if I hear anything. Fingers crossed...
