Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
Just checking in.... I received acceptance to SAC's program. Anyone else apply over there? I need to let them know by Friday but won't hear anything from UTHSC at least until then. Guess I am supposed to RSVP yes at SAC until then because I wouldn't want to lose my seat in case I don't get in at the other program? Can't wait!!![/quote']
Why are you not expecting to hear anything from UTHSCSA till Friday? Have you talked to someone over there? Just asking cause I am in a similar situation with UIW, I have to let them know by Monday. I don't know what to do.
After the supplemental app we probaly won't hear for another two weeks so Im guessing if we hear this week then two weeks leads us to an early april descision
I thought once we received word this week if we will be mailed the supplemental application, then we were pretty much in as long as we pass the background check and have our immunizations, etc. Like a conditional acceptance. I hope we hear this week!

Ok, I thought you were referring to the supplemental app. I didn't even think about the possibility of not being accepted once we receive the supplemental, based on how much weight the first part bares on acceptance, but I see your point. Ahh, more to stress about!
No, I mean I haven't received the supplemental application, nor an email. I only heard that we would be getting an email soon to notify us if we have been conditionally accepted and whether to look out for the supplemental application. Do you have to pay a fee when you let UIW know? I won't be out a fee if I tell SAC yes then no later. I don't know how else to go about it since I don't want to lose my seat.
I decided to go ahead and submit an email confirming acceptance into SAC's program. My packet says to submit a letter of intention by May 9th, so I can decline at that time if I decide to go elsewhere. Either way I start a nursing program in the fall so I am very exited! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear something.

Hey yall I'm new to the site and I just received an email saying that I will be notified on my application status no later than thursday March 27, 2014. So Im just going to worry and stress until I hear something back!! I have also been repeatedly checking my email and this website hoping for good news!!!
Okay so I just got the same email.. in my spam folder (that is not SPAM YAHOO!!!!). Sooo does this mean we will receive a supplemental application before the 27th?
