Nursing Students School Programs

I'm considering going to nursing school through the Baptist Health System in San Antonio or UTHSCSA. Most people I get advice from tell me hands down to go for UTHSCSA. I would like to hear from more of you who are currently enrolled or have gone through the nursing school program at either one of these locations in San Antonio. What did you like about the teachers, faculty, the content you were learning, etc. What were your hours like at school and if you had kids, how did you manage your time.

I am still a pre-nursing student and have one more semester in Spring of 2014 to complete before I can apply. I am very excited and just want to know more information. Also, a close family friend is attending nursing school at Wayland Baptist and informed me that their nursing program is shutting down. Is there any truth to this?

I've submitted everything but one looks like I've sent a blank document.

I noticed with the supplemental application that I could type everything in but it wouldn't save all the little bubbles you have to click so I literally had to print it, scan it, and then email it.

I haven't started the forms yet, I plan on doing that tonight. Did you have to hand write the responses, or you typed it up and then printed the form with text in the spaces?

I typed mine in word then copied and pasted onto the application.

That's so weird. I had no problems at. Maybe it just depends on each computer. I was able to do the application on the computer and resaved it, then emailed. I did print the residency form that needed to be signed, scanned then emailed.

Yeah, every time I opened the pdf file the bubbles were blank. So I was like whatever and just printed it and then scanned it. Didn't take long at all.

I just typed directly on the pdf file

I submitted my supplemental application last night. September is so far away, I plan on passing the time by working more hours and reading everybook in my house!

Does anyone know how the wait list works?

I have no idea how they do it. I would assume that if someone drops from the program, they choose the next qualified nursing student by looking at the next highest score.

Yeah I figured that if someone declined their offer then it goes to the first person on the wait list and so on.

I'm wondering if they do a conditional acceptance for the following semester for people who are wait listed like some other schools do.
