UTHSCSA Fall 2016

Let me try one more time. Anyone out there applying to UTHSCSA for the fall of 2016? The deadline is getting closer. How is everybody feeling? As for me I am a nervous wreck. I have taken my TEAS and completed all the courses. I am about finished with the application and I am just ready to know either way.

I have actually. My friend referred me to the eLine program from A&M in Corpus Christi, which he's currently in his last semester. I just didn't get my application in on time.

So, the e-mail came in today saying that they will let us know via e-mail by 5pm on March 18th! And now the countdown begins...uggghhhh. 38 days guys, we can do this!

Holy crap...I just read the email 1staidkit. It is almost 10:00 pm and I don't think I will be able to go to sleep now. Well, as you say, let the count down begin.

Good luck everyone! I just wanted to give you all a little heads up that the school is on probation warning for couple of low NCLEX pass rates and there are a lot of changes going on right now. I would not tell you not to go but do encourage you to apply to more schools just to keep your options open and do some research on what's going on right now. You can swing get over to the Summer 2016 accelerated thread to get a feel for some of the incoming (and current!) students concerns. Best of luck all!

Thanks for the heads up. Here is the link to the past 5 years NCLEX pass rates. I checked about 2 weeks ago and they did not have 2015 up yet, now they have them out. https://www.bon.texas.gov/pdfs/education_pdfs/education_programs/RN%205YR-15.pdf

UIW is too expensive for me. Is there any other BSN program in SA? I am sticking with UTHSC now bc I don't have any other real options besides going AAS. What are yall thinking? Going to go check out the other thread to see what they are saying. I think they will get it together anyway.

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) - eLine - Texas A&M University Corpus Christi - the Island University

Here is the link to the school's information page. It does require you to take the HESI with critical thinking which I found to be very similar to the TEAS V. Good luck!

Does anyone know if they'll send an email out confirming that they received our teas scores?

I called to confirm that they received my scores shortly after I sent them. I'm assuming that the only email that they would send is a rejection email stating that they didn't receive a completed application. I would definitely call just to be sure!

I got an email February 17 saying they received my application, TEAS score, and application fee!
