Let me try one more time. Anyone out there applying to UTHSCSA for the fall of 2016? The deadline is getting closer. How is everybody feeling? As for me I am a nervous wreck. I have taken my TEAS and completed all the courses. I am about finished with the application and I am just ready to know either way.

Hi friendlyjane! The reading portion was the most challenging for me just because I ran out of time and rushed on the last 6 questions. Can't believe the deadline is 6 days away!

So I was thinking about starting on my vaccine administration...the Hep B series and getting documents or titers for the rest of them. How about y'all?

Hey friendlyjane, I finished my Hep B series, but am going to send in titers to supplement as well. I've had a positive TB skin test before, so trying to figure out what I need to show them for that. I think they need neg chest rads. Fun fun fun! :D

Just a guess from me 1staidkit (love the name by the way) but I think if you get a + tb you need to get a chest xray and if it is clear you are good...but I know nothing really. Lol.

Hi everyone!

I am also applying to UTHSCSA Fall 2016. I've done my prerequisite work (the majority) at UTSA. TEAS: 84.7, math & science GPA: 3.6, cumulative GPA: 3.3. My cumulative is a little low but I'm hoping my TEAS can make up for it some. I sent in all my transcripts to nursingCAS about a month ago and they have all been received, but it says they are still waiting to be verified. Is anyone else in this position as well?

Just applied, UTHSCSA is my third choice. My GPA is 3.74, with a 3.8 Math/Science. TEAS V: 91. I have 15 years experience as a medic (Air Force) 8 of which as a Paramedic. My only concern is I took two Chemistries, but one was a survey course so I don't know if the will accept that as my second one. I am currently taking the "required" second Chemistry for Allied Health at UTSA (Elem. O-chem/Biochem). Hopefully they will accept me. I'll keep everyone posted, once I know something.

Also, my wife is currently in the accelerated BSN program at UTHSCSA, she will finish in August. It took her 6 weeks from the application deadline to get her acceptance e-mail. So I'm thinking mid-March-ish.

My application just went from "verifying" to "verified" a few days ago, and I am sure yours will adjust soon lauren6. I would consider emailing NursingCAS and ask about the long wait for the verification. Today is the big day... final submit day. I wish everyone luck and hope to see all of yall in August. I just got nauseous. Lol!

Today is the day! Now it's just a waiting game for us :( The supplemental application should be sent to all of us in a couple of days! I would start your series if you can already get them done with. I am also applying to UIW and they wanted my vaccination records just to apply, so I have been running around like crazy getting that taken care of. When you go into get any of the shots, make sure you also get documentation of every thing done/resuls. I had to get records pulled from the city and match them with my hospitals and some weren't documented like my PPD reading... It was just a mess. Not sure if I made things harder than they should have been but any way, I wish y'all luck! I will be checking my email every day for the supp application.

Yes...thanks for the advice on the vaccinations; I am definitely going to start this week.

UTHSCSA changed the way they do their supplemental application. The 3 questions included at the end of our NursingCAS application was the supplemental application. They won't be sending a separate one. I was pretty sure of this, but I know some people were under the impression the supp app was still being sent separately, so I went ahead and called the SON admissions!! I hope I could clear some things up for everyone.
