UTHSCSA Fall 2016
Good luck everyone! I just wanted to give you all a little heads up that the school is on probation warning for couple of low NCLEX pass rates and there are a lot of changes going on right now. I would not tell you not to go but do encourage you to apply to more schools just to keep your options open and do some research on what's going on right now. You can swing get over to the Summer 2016 accelerated thread to get a feel for some of the incoming (and current!) students concerns. Best of luck all!

Any UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN 2016 hopefuls that have started the application process?
Hello all- 3rd semester traditional student here: Congratulations on your acceptance! I would highly recommend the school CPR class- the instructor is great and the cost is comparable to what you would pay elsewhere. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have. I know there is a ton to do right now!

UTHSCSA Spring 2015
When did you take your TEAS? If it does not fall into the new application period I would highly recommend retaking it. While I believe someone got in with a 69 it's very borderline and as it varies class by class, I would try for a higher score

UTHSCSA Spring 2015
Different schools have different selection criteria. UTHSCSA is purely numbers, only the 1% supplemental is subjective in any way. Gender and ethnicity MAY play a small role at that point but not enough to outweigh a bad TEAS score or GPA.

Is background check fingerprints? And how much does that cost?

UTHSCSA Spring 2015
I think everyone with TEAS over 77, 78 has nothing to worry about. Over 80 I would say you're for sure in. The supplemental is important for those on the border of being accepted and border of getting waitlisted or not.

Does anyone else feel they are stressing WAY to much on these questions for only 1% of admission criteria?! Just not satisfied with any of my responses!
