UTHSCSA-Fall 2011

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi All,

Since January 10th was the application deadline, do any of you have an idea as to when the earliest when we will hear from UTHSC-San Antonio? I already have my bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject but I opted for the 2-year traditional route because the accelerated program just seemed too intense. Are there other 2nd degree folks out there applying to the 2 year program as well? Good luck to you all! I hope we are all there in the Fall!

i got an email saying that they're going to make their decisions by april 1st by email... i'm scared :(

I'm really nervous... my pre-req GPA is slightly above 3.2 but on their records it's barely below that because one of my courses was not taken at the time. I got a 87 on the TEAS V, as well... which isn't that great... I know every applicant pool is different, but does anyone know of people getting accepted even though their GPAs and scores weren't that high? Thanks! Good luck to all of you guys!

And yes they'll be e-mailing students starting next week, by the way. Again, good luck! Don't fret... it's not like we have time machines. Just relax!

@ Pamq. They calculated my pre req GPA at a 3.556 and my overall 3.526. But did terrible on the TEAS.79.8. I'm active duty air force and was studying for my promotion test at the same time. Didn't have an opportunity to retake it. So I'm sweating over here knowing how much that test is worth!

I was browsing the health science center nursing website yesterday. They have a percentage breakdown between pre-req GPA, TEAS V, and essay questions used for admissions. Pre-req percent is 40%, TEAS V is 59%, and essay is 1%; however, there are previous post on this thread that give a different breakdown. I hope this helps. I wish you as well as all the other applicants the best of luck.....hopefully less than a week until all is known!! :)

We'll find out next week, sometime. GOOD LUCK!

This is the longest week ever..

Are you all in San An? I think today might be the day... hopefully

Not me, Im stationed in Germany, but if I get in, I will be back in SA to start school.. I was stationed in SA for almost 6 yrs prior to coming here.. loved it!

I live in Houston. San Antonio is pretty much my top choice because I have heard really great things about the program and I am also ready to check out a new city. I have already lived in Austin and I am a sucker for an underdog and San Antonio seems like an underdog kind of city when looking at the major metropolitan areas of Texas :)

Hi all, I applied for Fall11. I just wanted to see if anyone has recieved their letters yet? The anticipation is killing me!!

i know what you meann, this IS the longest week ever :(
