UTHSCSA Fall 2010 HOPEFULS!

Published

Anybody applied to the fall 2010 semester? I just received an invite to take the TEAS!

Looking on the school's website I found this:

Parking Permit. If you plan to park or drive on campus, you'll be required to purchase a university parking permit. The permit may be purchased in advance in the Parking Service Office, located in the lower level of Garage B, next to the Bookstore and across from the School of Nursing on Central Campus. The Parking Service Office maintains all traffic, citation, appeals, and permit functions. A valid driver's license or other positive identification must be presented before a permit can be issued. A student permit costs between $72 and $672 per year.

I went to get my parking permit and the office said they won't be issuing them out until 1 August; BUT you can go online and purchase it and print out the receipt and bring that in in August so that you won't have to wait..:)

I purchased my parking permit online. I guess as students we are only allowed zone 5 permits which means getting there early to take the shuttle. 2 more months until school, i'm excited!

Do you know how often the shuttle runs?

the shuttle will run every 15 minutes except during their lunch break.

did anyone enroll for 3305-clinical for st. luke's on tuesday 6:30am -1:30pm?

Is anyone commuting? I live in New Braunfels and I plan on commuting everyday..

EW1116, I live in Cibolo and will be commuting as well. I went online and purchased a parking pass. I think for the class times and clinical times we should be ok with traffic but we might want to look into a 1604 rought versus 410 since 410 is under construction, as usual.

I'm so glad that you mentioned that... I really don't know my way around San Antonio and I'm very nervous about traffic and such. I will definitely look into an alternate route.. I don't want to have to leave two hours before class in order to get their in time.. haha

I suggest driving there before school ever starts so you know your way. The school itself is huge and I think its easy to get lost. I plan on driving there the week of orientation just to make sure I know where I'm going. Are you on FB? There is a group called: "UTHSCSA-School of Nursing- Fall 2010" if you are.

Be prepared to pay for parking if you go to St. Lukes. I think a bunch of other clinicals carpool and share the charges.

The nursing school is actually pretty small and on the opposite side of the campus (closest to Spectrum). The nursing school is also by far the nicest looking.

wow thank god i'm being dropped off instead of parking there at st. lukes. thanks for the tibit : )
