UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

Hi everyone!

I looked and looked on here but I didn't see a thread for people applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Accelerated BSN Summer 2015 program, so I thought I'd start a thread. I just submitted my application (kind of late I know). How's it going for everyone?

Orientation is May 7-8 so I would assume the next week after that

I am under the impression it begins May 11th. (Had to find out since I'm actually taking courses at another school and will be in finals week at the same time í ½í´«) has anyone began getting things done on the extensive check list?

I'm in the same boat..taking a class at SAC. I registered for BLS course and will start my immunizations next week.

Has anyone tried scheduling the background check and not been able to?

yes! I tried a bunch online. I'm going to try via the phone tomorrow morning.

Also I'm going to the BLS class at Cpr Heart of Angels on Feb 14.

Yea..I took A&P w/ lab at UTSA (separate classes) and I applied to utmb as well. To my surprise on my acceptance letter i got at the end of decemeber, utmb says I need A&P II w/ lab. I registered (got last seat in class) just in case I didn't get into uthscsa and now that I have, I don't need that class anymore but I'm already 2 weeks into the class and can't get my money back

I had trouble scheduling the background check too! I'm gonna try again in the morning. Does anyone know if everyone has to resend transcripts, or just those still taking prereqs?

I believe everyone has to resend transcripts.

i emailed them and they said transcripts are really due on May 22 for those who are still taking classes and if school does not have them ready by then, they will work with you

We won't be able to do background checks for a day or two because our information that was submit by the school takes up 2 days to get into the system I beleiev it said. I already requested all four of my transcripts. Is anyone still taking prerequisite courses?

FYI I was able to log on and schedule the background check this morning.

ETA: The amount I had to pay was slightly different than what was on the document emailed to me. Also, it said to download a new FastPass form, so I'm just going to bring both papers with me.
