UTHSC Traditional BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

I agree! I'm sure llucas11 will get in! Those are great stats!!

Hang in there girl! There isn't many people in our FB group. We have 26 members but two of those are actual students in the program right now. Hopefully you will all hear good news by tomorrow or next week!

Awe! Thanks for the encouraging words. I just wish I knew the method to their madness!! I keep telling myself to try and put it in the back of my mind...yeah right lol! Oh well, if I don't make it, I will live lol! I'll just keep swimming, just keep swimming... (Dori..Finding Nemo...yeah I know, lame)!

Thanks guys! I'm hoping we find out soon I have until November 7th to reply to UTMB

Is UTMB asking you for a $200 non-fundable acceptance deposit that is later applied to your tuition cost? I find the deposit amount a bit excessive. How do you feel about the Pacesetter vs Traditional program?

I'm not sure about the deposit I have read much of my information yet I've been working all day! I was really interested in the pacesetter program that was one of the reasons I wanted to go for UTHSC and that it's a lot closer to me lol

Are they asking you for an acceptance deposit after you've gone on and accepted your offer? I haven't accepted yet since I'm waiting to here from UTHSC. I haven't seen anything about it in the information they have sent me in my email.

llucas11, it's listed on UTMB's website on their tuition cost page. I noticed their tuition cost is pretty high compared to UTHSC. I'm not sure how I feel about the Pacesetter program but I do plan to attend UTHSC open house next month to get more info.

Oh I found it! Lol UTMB is my back up so if I don't get accepted to UTHSC or don't hear from them in time I will accept UTMB's offer. I'm a hands on type of learner I think I would benefit from the pacesetter program.

U got accepted to PVAMU this coming spring? I thought they havent sent out any letter yet :dummy:

It was for fall 2013. But yeah, after applying i was told not to go there from friends even though they required less pre-req's.

For ppl who have been declined and are applying again, did UT offer an academic"fresh start" program? I think all schools are required to but I'm not sure. I want to have other options if I don't get in now.

Also, does the school require a mandatory deposit for acceptance that it's later applied towards your tuition?
