UTHSC Traditional BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

I wonder when the second batch of acceptances will go out?! This is really starting to stress me out!!!! I got accepted last semester but things came up and I didn't start so I am reapplying... hopefully I'm lucky again!!

I'm sure the 2nd wave will go out this week! The fb currently has 21 members guys so there are plenty more people that are about to be accepted!

I'll start next semester. I heard the 1st semester is the hardest so I'm kinda nervous and want to start reading ahead of time so I can get A like you :] Would you please be my mentor/tutor? (I know u are very busy with school work so I won't waste a lot of your time :)

I read Patho & Pharm but there is so much info. I don't know what kinda info is important. Would u mind letting me make copies of your Patho & Pharm PowerPoint & notes please please...? I highly appreciate it.

I wouldn't read ahead because you won't be responsible for all the info in the book (and you don't need the book for pharm, btw), the instructors will narrow it down for you so that you know what to study for tests.

I went into nursing school thinking it was practically impossible to get an A, but if you stay on top of things and have good study methods, it's certainly possible to get As. Yeah it's hard, but don't let people freak you out too much, have confidence in your ability to do well!

Well, I guess no one else on this blog has been accepted yet. I haven't seen any activity since Monday. This is really frustrating. I haven't received an email yet and I feel I did fairly well on my HESI. I don't have a 4.0 like many of you on here but my grades aren't terrible either. This waiting is killing me!!! I wish they would send out rejection letters and put an end to my suffering! Oh well, I'm still holding on to a tiny thread of hope that maybe they are still considering me. Have a great weekend and congrats to all of you that have been accepted!!

Hang in there girl! There isn't many people in our FB group. We have 26 members but two of those are actual students in the program right now. Hopefully you will all hear good news by tomorrow or next week! :up:

I pretty confident that they haven't sent out all the acceptance letters. A lot of people accepted last spring got them at all different times. I know a lot of them personally so I know it's not just hear say. We can only wait :) don't give up yet!!

This wait is killing me! I've already been accepted to UTMB but UTHSC is way closer to me! I don't want to make a decision yet....so frustrating lol

Hesi-85 but I only made a 76 on the A&P :/

Critical thinking 940 I think I know it was above 900
