I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

Sorry, are you referring to when I mentioned about that small scholarship offer?
Ironically im in class right now as I write. The Pacesetter program is something you are selected for. I really don't know how they do the selection. Some people really love it some really hate it. Its not just grade based. I know plenty of 4.0's that are not in it. You take all of your classes and then you do your clinicals. Its supposed to mimic a real nursing schedule. I started in the spring of 2013 and no one in my cohort is a pacesetter. Look the school is difficult. Your goin to have to study a lot. lectures are long and as you get up in the program assignments become tedious and time management is going to be tested. Summer is goin to suck. Yall will have care 2 which is a butthole, psych, gero, and research during yalls summer and that's just the classes. You will also have two clinicals a week minimum with careplans, and probably a test or quiz every single week. Its rewarding but they don't make it easy.
Hey everyone. Ironically, I am sitting next to Conner Francis in class. He really don't know what the crap he is talking about. He never reads his emails and had failed to realize that all incoming classes will be in the Pacesetter Program. It is a new thing.
Thanks El presidente. You see we are here to help. In case you are wondering Nick will be your president For student Government. Lol My bad sorry for giving false info.

If you log onto your evolve account, click student access it should take you to your exam history. There should be a blue link that says admission assessment report, click the plus sign next to it. That will give you a break down of each section, including critical thinking.
