UTHSC Traditional BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

sallypink07, I have not had to put down a deposit to UTMB after I accepted. Also with the tuition worksheet of UTMB they added in some things like distance education which, if you do not have online classes you do not pay. So the total cost per semester should be very similar to UTHSC. Hope that helps in your decision making! I was accepted to UTHSC but will be withdrawing my acceptance because I got into UTMB and it is my first choice! So another spot will be open!

UT Houston doesn't make you pay a deposit!

For those that are still waiting, I recommend looking up what vaccines are required for the schools you applied to and get anything that you don't have yet, also get a TB test if you haven't had one in the past year. Get BLS certified if you aren't already.

Also get the flu vaccine - most hospitals require you to have it.

I've heard of people not receiving acceptance letters until the week before classes actually started, so you want to make sure you're as ready to go as possible!

Do you have to get a physical done as well?

Do you have to get a physical done as well?

Yes, and there is a form that you will need to bring with you to have filled out.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know a lot of us are going to try and make the info session on the 7th of November! I'm sure more will be getting acceptances by that time and a bunch of us are going to try to be there to get more info about the pacesetter as well as meet all of us future students. So if you have been accepted and haven't made it to the Facebook page the your best to make the info session! And don't worry there are still not many people on the Facebook page so more acceptances are coming!!

Thank you for posting the form for the physical!

Has anyone who hasn't revived an acceptance/denial heard anything??

Nope! Not yet.

Nope.... Frustrating!!!!
