I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

I also haven't received a transcript eval, I might call and beg them to send me one. I'm not sure which classes they transferred. Some of my classes were not on the transfer guide. My govt classes were GOVT2301 and 2302; Texas no longer offers these courses, so I'm not sure they accepted them or not? Also, Which classes did they take for yall's electives?
I received an email around 5:30pm today saying a decision has been made. Happy to announce I was accepted!
For anyone interested...I did receive a transcript evaluation at the beginning of this month. Overall undergrad gpa is 3.59. Nursing prereq and science gpa is 3.8. HESI 94.4% with 850 in critical thinking.
Truly praying the rest of you hear some good news for tomorrow. Be at peace, although I know how agonizing the anticipation is.
@jpaj1130 i took the same classes and i was accepted....also didnt receive a transcript eval. One of my friends who also got accepted and on her evaluation for electives they just picked classes that have highest grade
I got accepted today too!!! I can hardly believe it! Can't.Stop.Smiling!!
For everyone still waiting... It's hard I know, I was right there with y'all. But please have faith. We've all worked so hard to get here and I hope to see all y'all in the fall!!
