I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

Thank you and my hesi score was an overall 89 with a 92 in A&P and an 890 Critical Thinking. My current overall GPA is 3.93 and 4.0 in science. Again, I am struggling in my current class. Now that I'm getting it, I feel it may be too late to squeeze by with a C.

Retake this summer. I took a five week Chem last summer and it wasn't as crammed as you'd think.
So, of course I called UT to wreck my nerves a little bit further lol. I was told that all acceptances will go out by end of the day tomorrow, also all decisions will go out tomorrow (wait list, denials, last acceptances). There's hope for us who haven't received anything yet, fingers crossed for today!
She also told me that if you have an incomplete status that may be a reason why you didn't receive a transcript evaluation as they try to get those who are at a complete status out first.
I got my acceptance this morning everyone! I haven't gotten an email or anything yet, I just had the update on my account, so check your statuses! My sats are 3.56 overall GPA, 3.5 science, 89.4 on HESI with a 95 in A&P and a 940 in CT. Good luck everyone, you'll hear soon I promise!!

As for the transcript evaluation, I received one even though I have an incomplete status. Based on what I read on last year's forum and earlier posts on this forum, I don't think the transcript evaluation suggests anything. Some people that were accepted didn't receive transcript evaluations and other people were declined even though they received a transcript evaluation. Hopefully that calms people's fear of not receiving one. [emoji4]

Did you receive a email about the change in status or did you have to keep checking myuth?
Well, just checked my myUTH account and I was officially denied for Summer'16...still hoping and praying for some good news for Fall'16! Congrats to everyone accepted so far!
