I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

No one really knows. Been following old threads, and I don't think they have ever taken this long to send out letters .So right now, I don't know what to expect.
They did waves for Summer '16. I never heard anything for that term so I'm hoping for this term. I'm guessing they're doing it all at once for Fall '16.

I put in applications for both Summer and Fall '16. I never heard anything for summer after all the waves, so I'm hoping I hear something good for fall term.

That's horrible! How can you hear just nothing back?? Like how is a person supposed to know that they even looked at their app?
They said at their info session that both summer and fall term emails are sent out on April 15th. So I'll probably get the official rejection email for summer (and hopefully not fall too) on Friday. From what I've gathered, they only have so many spots available at first and then receive funding to open up more spots for the term. I'm assuming the "waves" were for the first available spots for summer. Don't know what's going on for fall, just going off what I've read previously.
I was able to talk to someone yesterday at the school and I was told that letters are going to be mailed out Friday. Nothing said about emails, UTH account status change or other notification avenues. This conflicts with what another girl heard when she called. She was told letters will be mailed out Wednesday. All i can say is i'm frustrated. I wish there was a definitive answer on when or how we will find out instead of this excessive checking of email, UT account and mailbox that i'm going through. Regardless, I really hope it is this week! Good luck to all of you and i hope we can all meet in the Fall.
