I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

I wanted to leave comment earlier but a little busy at work right now. I received email about "update to my application" at 5:30 pm so i checked my account and found out i was able to accept it and paid for the deposit. The email didnt state that I was accepted only stated a decision has been made on my application. I was nervous like most of you guys... i was checking on the forum and my account every single day..I even had a nightmare about it when i was taking a nap earlier today -_-
I never received a transcript evaluation( i was a little worried), also first time applying. I have a previous degree and my gpa is around 3.5 for both overall and science. hesi: 92% CT:850
Hi guys! I'm the friend YellowRoseofTx mentioned. I randomly logged in today around 2pm and saw my status was updated, then I received the "your status has changed" email around 5:30 this afternoon. My status is still listed as 'incomplete' because I am currently taking my last pre-reqs and that indicates they need my updated transcript. I did receive a transcript review, and have been obsessively checking for updates since. It seems the information they posted online was very subjective, and any response from them depended on who answered the phone. For reference I'm a career change, have two previous degrees, my overall gpa was 3.5, science gpa of 4.0, HESI in the 90s (can't remember exactly), critical thinking of 950, and I had three classes left to take (currently enrolled). I don't know about y'all but I personally could barely sleep last night. My stomach is in so many knots today. I did call UTH this morning and the person I talked to still told me that we should know by Friday. I asked her why some people found out yesterday and she just said agreed and said some people did find out yesterday but Friday is the last day.

Omg I just searched "UTHealth" on Twitter and someone said they got in! That could possibly be YellowRoseofTX's friend. Idk.
