Hello everyone:D
I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.
I look forward to talking to everyone who is going through this nursing journey.:)
Congratulations, Jill! I applied for Spring 2016 but was rejected as most of my credits didn't transfer. I turned right around and reapplied for both Summer and Fall 2016, resubmitted my most current transcripts (I've added 12 hours and replaced 4 hours of C's in Chem with A's), and haven't heard a thing. Not even a new updated course evaluation reflecting the prerequisites I've completed. Anyone else have this happen? My application status for both still says incomplete, but they said that's because I'm still enrolled and currently finishing my prereqs at HCC. Also worrisome is that my Fall application to-do list still show the TSI proof, and that usually goes away once they see your transcripts (at least it did for my Spring and Summer applications). I'm really worried that somehow I've just "fallen through the cracks", and am waiting on pins and needles, checking the mail everyday for nothing! I guess I'll know in one more week--I'd call, but I always feel like a bother, and don't want to make them mad!
It's kind of a toss up. A few of us got different answers from the school, however based off past semesters and the most frequently heard response from the school, I'd say no it doesn't determine that.
Don't worry @J.Duck, it takes awhile for them to put all the information in the system in order to make your status "complete". The last time I applied my application said incomplete the whole time and then changed to accepted; didn't even go to the "complete" stage. @ines_payan92 no, getting a transcript eval doesn't mean you got into the school.

Thank you Jill!
I saw the updated deadline, that would've helped me because I took my HESI on the 14th, extremely last minute lol.
Nothing is putting my mind at ease, I'm counting down these last 6 days!
