UTHSC Summer 2017

Published

Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Did they send out an email about orientation? I only recieved one about admitted students day.

I only received email about admin day. Guess we will get one about orientation later.

I already tried logging in with myUTH user and pass and it said error. Was there an email sent about evalue? What did it say?

I received Evalue email on 3/9/17. It was giving instructions and it was from Sharron Haimour who will track our Evalue immunizations. Here is her email, hopefully she can help. I would call SON again too just to make sure your all set. Best of luck!

Sorry for blowing up this site lol.

I just thought of another thing..

I was having trouble logging into MyUTH at one point and called the helpdesk. I had to change/ update my password. Once you go from applicant to student status you need to change it. Maybe try updating it and then logging into both MyUTH and Evalue?

People who were waitlisted- have you guys heard anything yet???

Nope nothing yet. My portal status still says incomplete and I got an email about getting waitlisted . I guess I have to reapply for the fall since today is the deadline

Is it necessary to buy all the textbooks, or does anyone know which ones we really need?

Do you have your class schedule already???

Someone just posted a list of books on the FB page... There are 12 books in total. I'm probably going to hold off on buying until I find out which are 100% mandatory.

You are going to be told by your professors that the books for their class are mandatory. It really just depends on if you will use your textbooks to study or not. I have made A's and B's on all exams so far and I do not own any of the textbooks. Depending on who your Health Assessment lab instructor is, the lab manual may be mandatory.

No we don't have the schedule yet:/

Thank you guys for the helpful info:) @AHawkins I'm going to hold off on buying textbooks as well!
