UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Very weird! I attended the 10/15 session and they said they over admit and then end up having around 120 accept. A girl even raised her hand and said she had a friend on the waitlist last semester but they told her she must be thinking of the wrong school.

Congrats to everyone already admitted or waitlisted! I just wanted to read this thread to get a better idea of what the admitted stats and timeline look like.

For those of you that reapplied for Summer 2016, did you have to create another login for your application?

I couldn't find anywhere to apply on my current my.uth account so i had to create a new login for my new application

You just create a new application and everything will link to your current MyUTH account..

Anyone applying for Fall 2016?

Seeing the chart of stats that were accepted/denied is making me nervous. Not sure if I stand a chance. I heard the fall pool is always the largest...making it the most competitive to get into.

Does anyone know if applying for the summer 2016 semester will affect our status on the waitlist? Just wasn't sure how that worked if the new application links up to our current MyUTH account..

Has anyone on the waiting list receive a letter in the mail saying, "The Baccalaureate Council did not recommend your admission to the BSN program at this time?" I received an email saying I've been waitilisted, and a day later, this letter is sent out to me. I find that very strange.

I haven't heard anything yet. My status still says complete. No acceptance or denial letter. I really wish they'd get it together. At this point I'm just going to move forward with attending Texas Tech's 12 month program. I'm tired of waiting! Good luck everybody! If you've been denied, apply again. Last year UTA, Texas Tech and UTH denied me, this year I was accepted to 2 out of 3. Don't be discouraged. Hang in there and you'll reach your goals!
