UTHSC Houston - Summer 2016 Applicants

Published

Hey everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for Summer 2016 that was active so I'm starting one here! I am also an applicant for Fall 2016 but I'm applying for both because the deadlines are close and I really want to go here!!

So far I'm taking courses over the summer right now and going to finish my prerequisites this fall. I JUST finished the HESI exam today!!! Hope to hear from all of you soon

I actually took it at local community college for their program and I don't even think it offered that section ...hmm ..I wonder if I can take that section only..

Glad to have you with us in this waiting game! My heart is also set on UTHSC so this is also my dream school to get into! With your motivation and dedication, I'm sure you can do it. What is your gpa if I may ask? I still have to take prerequisite classes so that's what I'll be doing this fall. I have taken the HESI already though! We got this

Thanks so much!!!

my overall pre-req GPA is 3.3

My overall HESI is 92.8%

math- 100%

reading-92%

grammar 92%

vocabulary 92%

A&P 88%

CT 820

If I retake 2 classes and calculated correctly, my GPA should go up to 3.56, which is a LOT better so I am hoping and praying to make these 2 A's!

Glad to be here with you all☺️ it has been a long road, but so worth it!

If I recall correctly, I think you have to re-take the whole HESI 😢 but don't stress! From what I've seen in the past pretty much everyone who re takes it gets better scores on everything overall ☺️

I just submitted my Hesi scores and transcript from the university I attended and I'm waiting for the grades from the classes I just took at a community college this summer to post and then I will send that.

My Hesi scores are:

Anatomy Physiology: 96%

Grammar:94%

Reading Comp: 94%

Vocabulary:98%

Math 96%

Critical Thinking: 980

Overall: 95.6%

My Science GPA is 4.0 and my my overall GPA is 3.93.

I saw that on their website today..bummer but it's ok!I'll find out if I get accepted to my local community mid October and go from there!thanks!

Awesome! Congrats! Did you have to send in your HESI scores yourself? I thought they sent them after you finish the test.

I took my test at the college i'm getting my prerequisites at and they don't send the scores. I had to request the transcript from Elsevier and have them send it to UTHSC.

Wow your stats are phenomenal!!! way to go!

My to-do list is no longer showing that I need my transcripts. Does that mean they have received them?

Correct, they should have received them if they are no longer on there.

Hi guys! I also plan on applying for Summer 2016. I applied for the Spring but not feeling too confident about my HESI scores.

I was thinking about applying at Lone star as well for Spring, but I'm just going to finish my last prerequisites this fall and wait to hear back from uthsc some time in Oct/Nov. If (like Val said lol) by a miracle I make it then great! If not, I'll have my application for Summer ready. I also started my app for TWU for fall 2016, and will apply for LSC-CyFair for fall as well. I'm really hoping I can get in a program IN Houston, preferably BSN.

Good luck to all of us!!!

Hi! I'm a UT HSC Houston student. Just wrapped up my 3rd semester. If you all are talking about the BSN pacesetter program, no classes are online until your last semester in which you have all clinicals and one online course to prep you for the exit HESI
