Hey everyone!
I couldn't find a thread for Summer 2016 that was active so I'm starting one here! I am also an applicant for Fall 2016 but I'm applying for both because the deadlines are close and I really want to go here!!
So far I'm taking courses over the summer right now and going to finish my prerequisites this fall. I JUST finished the HESI exam today!!! Hope to hear from all of you soon
Congrats on those of you who have been admitted. I'm still hopeful, but it is draining since I hear a lot of people getting in. I wasn't aware that overall GPA was considered. I thought it was science pre-requisite GPA and nursing pre-requisite GPA (history, government, stats, chem, etc.). Does anyone know the answer? I read it is only the pre-req GPA that is considered but I maybe wrong. Mine is not great, undergrad GPA is 3.15 (majored in biology and chemistry) and a graduate GPA of 4.0 (Master in Education). My GPA's are Science pre-req: 4.0, undergrad nursing pre-req: 3.92, HESI, 94% overall, 890 Critical Thinking (and I took it only once, and did not repeat ANY courses). Not bad scores, but for some reason I don't think they were good enough. Yes, there is still time yet but still

bearfur - you are correct, they go by the courses listed under the prerequisite transfer guide. You have great stats! Hang in there. For some reason I think their emails are being sent out delayed? I've seen very few mention they have been accepted (unless they are staying quiet about it).
I'm rooting for you all, it's still VERY early.
Thank you everyone. No, I did not apply for Fall since I was not told it was a separate application process. I figured if you did not get in for the summer, you could pay application fees again for the Fall if you chose and only if your application was complete. Now I understand it is too late to apply for Fall and I can't wait around until next Spring. Oh well. I'm apply for TWU as well. Thanks again for wishing me luck. I'll hope to be wait-listed.
Yes its good to keep in mind that not all applicants to the nursing program at UTHSC-H subscribe to this forum and many people who are in the Facebook group may not be applicants for this semester. The membership of both groups are independent of each other and whether they are applying for the program this semester. There are many nursing applicants who have been accepted that may have never heard of this forum. I can understand playing the numbers game though! I play it myself.

Hey everyone!!
School sent out first round of acceptances via the myUTH link (obviously some people have already responded about this :)) and there was an administrative contact made today saying "Congrats, and you have 10 days to respond." I had to call because I heard from myUTH on the 4th and there were minimal instructions there.
They did say its only 10 days from your initial email...looks like February 14th for a lot of us! Deposit is due the same day. CVS Minute clinic offers lots of the immunization requirements, if you are in need, including the TB testing. I think that's probably next step priority-wise.
I'm stuck between two schools currently, but if I do chose UTH it will mean a move to Houston. Anyone from the area recommend an apartment/housing search??
PS. my stats are:
HESI- 95% overall
Prerequisite GPA- 4.0
Overall GPA- difficult to calculate. My first degree (BFA) was a 3.5, combined with the 4.0 above as I basically had to start over.
