UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Yep finished my last class up this past semester :) allll done, which is a relief but weird also since i didn't plan it quite right now I have a semester off...super weird not having classes this semester, makes me feel lazy lol

Thank you!! I think I am making sense of things now. Those who have completed ALL pre-reqs will not have the "Official Transcript" hold because you wont have to send another one in if you are accepted.

Also, for those who don't have the hold like I do, but ARE taking pre-reqs still may have submitted their transcripts without it showing their "Fall 2012 Pending Schedule". My transcript shows "IP" for Microbiology on my transcript which means in progress. So that may be why Ill have the hold past acceptance. Maybe some sent in transcripts and then registered for their last classes and the school automatically took it off their to-do list. (JUST A GUESS)

Once transcripts are officially evaluated after the deadline I am sure those holds will show up for those taking pre-reqs this fall.

Awesome for you being off this semester!! Enjoy it! I have the 1 class and its crazy to only have it to study for.

I had just microbiology last semester and you're right having just one to study for is also weird haha

So I took the HESI today.I didnt do so good and for some reason my reading was very low.I can't explain what happened, at a point I felt I was running out of time and had to hurry.Well I have seen the stats here and mine is not competetitive at.I wish y'all the best.just wish I did better.

grammar:92%

vocab:86%

A&p:84%

GPA:3.96

(I am not sure how to cal the science GPA,but I only got a B in Chem)

You did great on the CT section! I got an 820....I can't even count how many times I have read past forums to tally scores and look for a pattern but for SPRING 2012 I noticed a trend of CT 850/High GPA and/or previous degree. Then later on down the acceptance road the other scores that were all over the place were accepted (so then it was hard to tell what they were looking for) So I think you are in good standing!! You scored above 84 on everything except one section. Obviously your reading is good if you made an 850 on CT, that is critical reading.

Stay positive your GPA is high!

I thought this might help those reading the forum....I know Spring is the harder semester to get into because of the shortened number of students they accept...Also they start with previous degree holders with high scores it seems (don't take my word, just a trend I noticed).

These were scores accepted into the Spring 2012 BSN program...(I bolded the first few to show that these were below 850 on CT) I know some of you were stressing about that, as well was I. The ones below the bolded are the high scores and/or second degree holders. I know there was a lot more I just took this off the main list which was easier than flipping through all the pages again.

I have a BS in animal science (was applying to vet school). Hopefully that will make up for making a 780 on the CT portion of the hesi

Irelevant but, I think we are the only applying class on allnurses that the majority of us have our pic uploaded! (others were blank or had abstract images) Nice to put the face with those we are talking to!! :)
